Maral’s Mahón‑Menorca DOP semi‑cured cheese is handcrafted using raw cow’s milk and aged for 2 to 3 months. This cheese offers a smooth, melt-in-the-mouth texture with balanced flavour and a clean dairy aroma.
Product characteristics
- Appearance: Traditional rectangular shape, yellow natural rind with cloth or “fogasser” markings.
- Interior: Ivory-coloured paste with golden tones and irregular eyes.
- Aroma: Soft dairy notes with subtle hints of cave, mushroom and clean leather.
- Flavour: Mild and balanced, with notes of yogurt, cream and raw hazelnuts.
- Texture: Creamy, semi-soft, meltable and finely granulated.
