Maldonado 100 % Iberian Acorn‑Fed Cured Pork Jowl

This exceptional pork jowl comes from adult Maldonado pigs, raised free‑range on a 100 % acorn diet. Comprising skin, finely marbled fat and lean muscle, it is cured naturally using only salt, without added herbs or spices, to preserve the pure Iberian character.

Curing Process

  • Natural curing for over 12 months in Alburquerque (Badajoz) secaderos
  • No added aromatic herbs—pure acorn‑fed flavour prevails

Texture & Flavour Profile

The result is silky, intensely flavoured slices with a profound, lingering taste and exceptionally juicy mouthfeel, balancing meat and fat seamlessly.

Serving Suggestions

Best served thinly sliced as an aperitif or incorporated creatively by chefs into tapas, charcuterie boards, rustic breads, and gourmet dishes.

Storage Instructions

Store in a cool, dry place. Remove from wrapping at least 60 minutes before serving and enjoy at room temperature (20 °C–25 °C) to maximize flavor.
