Gourmet Italian risotto mix with Carnaroli rice and dried porcini mushrooms. Produced by Tenuta Margherita, a rice-growing tradition since 1904 in Piedmont, Italy. Natural ingredients, no artificial additives, just ready to cook at home.
Ingredients and composition
Carnaroli rice (≈ 92 %), dried porcini mushrooms (funghi porcini), onion, carrot, parsley, garlic, salt and natural mushroom extract. Free from preservatives and artificial coloring.
Production process
The mixture is made with carefully selected Carnaroli rice known for its absorption capacity and firmness, combined with vegetable sofrito and porcini mushrooms dried at low temperatures to preserve aromatic intensity. The product is packed in a modified atmosphere to retain its quality over time.
Preparation method
- Sauté contents with one tablespoon of olive oil for 1 minute.
- Add 100 ml of dry white wine, let it evaporate.
- Pour in 650 ml of hot water and cook while stirring for 17–18 minutes.
- Finish with butter and Parmesan cheese for a creamier texture.
Sensory characteristics
- Texture: creamy, with al dente grain thanks to the Carnaroli rice.
- Taste: intense porcini flavour, balanced by a gentle vegetable background.
Pairing and uses
Serve as a main course or as a refined starter. Enhancing with truffle oil or shavings of cured cheese intensifies its flavour. Pairs well with dry white wines or young red wines such as those from vinos-bebidas.
