Zacapa Centenario 23 Años – Solera Gran Reserva Rum, Guatemala 70 cl
This ultra‑premium rum is crafted using virgin sugar cane honey rather than molasses and aged in Guatemala's highlands via the solera method, blending rums aged between 6 and 23 years.
Origin & Aging
Distilled from cane syrup (“honey”) and matured in a “House Above the Clouds” at 2,300 m altitude. It uses multiple stages of aging in ex-Bourbon, ex-Sherry, and Pedro Ximénez barrels before marrying in American oak vats.
Nose & Aromas
- Soft and sweet: caramel, vanilla, cacao, butterscotch.
- Complex Jerez notes: caramelized nuts, toasted hazelnut, toffee, banana, dried pineapple.
Palate & Finish
- Generous, full-bodied and layered: dried fruit, apricot preserves, oak, nutmeg, tobacco and leather with coffee, cinnamon, ginger and vanilla.
- Finish intricate and refined: honeyed butterscotch, spiced oak and raisined fruit.
Serving & Pairings
