The gourmet Cantabrian Anchovy Gilda Casa Santoña is a classic northern Spanish tapa, featuring whole Cantabrian anchovies, Ibarra piparra sweet pepper, olives, and sunflower oil. Packaged in a sealed 350 g tub (approx. 15 fillets) and perfect for enjoying with friends or as an elegant starter.

  • Piparra (vinegar; preservatives E-223, E-330)
  • Olive (acidulants E-330, E-270; antioxidant E-300)

Origin & Preparation

The anchovies come from the Cantabrian Sea and are processed in Santoña (Cantabria), renowned for artisanal salting. Caught in May, they undergo traditional salting, pressing, and filleting to preserve their authentic flavour. Casa Santoña, a family business spanning three generations, oversees the handcraft of each piece.
