FROM TOTEM TO IBIZKUS WINES

Founded in 2007 as Totem Wines, Ibizkus Wines S.L. has established itself as a leading wine producer on the island of Ibiza and its biggest wine exporter. During the 2016 year, our cellars have produced around 70.000 bottles of rosé, red and white wines.

Ibizkus started producing wines on the island in 2006 under the name Totem Wines primarily using Monastrell grapes. While not as famous as some of their siblings, Monastrell grapes, also known as "mataró" or "mourvèdre," are capable of producing fruity, easy to drink, modern and high quality wines. According to wine expert Jancis Robinson, such wines have "notes of earth and game with mild, red fruit aromas."

Laurent Frésard, while completing his Masters in Wine Management, discovered a passion for wines created from the diverse Mediterranean soil and unique grape varieties, and joined then Totem Wines in 2008 with the aim of creating great wines on the Pitiusan island. Ibizkus started with a rosé and red wine and then introduced its first white wine to the general public during the Summer of 2016.

The company's offices, cellars, wine tasting room and store are located on the main road linking the towns of Ibiza and Santa Eulalia, at the kilometre marker 9,5. All grapes will now be destemmed, aged, vinified and bottled at this location. Please visit our tasting area to reserve a wine tasting tour.

With over 40 individual vineyard plots growing grape varieties such as Monastrell, Syrah, Tempranillo, Macabeo, Malvasia Grec, Parellada and Chardonnay, Ibizkus produces and sells several rosé wines, two red wines and a white wine, under the brand names Ibizkus, Totem and La Savia Divina.
